Skeleton vase..cheap!!

So I made this little skeleton vase for about $3.49. I stole the idea from Dollar Store Crafts.

I bought 2 of the sets of skeleton at the Dollar Tree, bought some spanish moss, and those flower thingy's at goodwill! Next year I think I need to add some glitter or something to bling it up a tad!

Fall picture frames - Dollar Tree Bargains

I actually got this idea from A Diamond in the Stuff's post.

I switched it up a bit and only used 4 frames to spell out FALL instead of the 6 to spell out AUTUMN.

I got 4 cheap frames from the Dollar Tree, spray painted them with cheap old black spray paint that I got at Walmart for like a buck!

Then I cut letters out with my Cricut - using the basic George Cartridge because I don't have a whole lot of cartridges yet - and mounted them on scrapbook paper and basically decorated them like a scrapbook page! For my letters, I used the shadow feature and cut out two of the same size letters...so that when you mat them on it looks like a shadow.

Then I just stuck on some 3D glitter stickers I had...thought about using real leaves, that might be cool, but I was too lazy to try it out.

Took a Hiatus!

So I took a bit of a hiatus and bought a house AND got married! Kinda forgot about my little blog here...but I plan to make this active again and get to work on some projects!

Do It Yourself

Most of my wedding is going to be do it yourself projects that I will be doing myself. I've scoured the web and found some LOVELY projects!

The weather is FINALLY looking a little better here in NC, we've at least had a sunny day today. It's been the coldest winter on record since like 13 years. Needless to say, I'm NOT pleased as I hate the cold!! With the nasty, cold weather I've been in kinda a blah mood and not wanted to do anything except curl up on the couch underneath some blankets with a good book, not wanting to work on anything so it's hopefully about time for the sun to stay out and give me some feel good vibes so that I can kick it into gear!

My next projects are going to be my bouquet and finishing up my centerpieces. I've semi-done my centerpieces, but they need some more TLC so I drew some sketches in line at the bank today and I can't wait to see them come to life! I will, of course, post pictures as I get some stuff done.

Jewelry!

So I ordered my necklace today and I LOVE IT! I found a good deal on ebay and it's handmade so I went for it.

Here is also a picture of the bracelet that I am going to hopefully be getting from Anna Bellagio. There is a choker that matches the bracelet, but I'm thinking it might be a little much. My dress is SUPER simple and it's strapless and I'm also going to be feeling a little uncomfy with the whole strapless deal so at least this way I won't have to be extra uncomfy in a choker also!

Got my server set and flutes!

So I scaled back the budget on the server/flutes. Instead of the $150 for the set of the Park Avenue from Things Remembered, I found another set that Dave & I both agree on. It's the Double Ring set from Things Remembered. I won it today on ebay for $70, the entire set, so I scaled that down half!

Happy 17th Birthday Patrick!

Wow, so today is my son's 17th birthday! He's outta school due to "inclement weather" LOL..it snowed and we had ice on top of that over the weekend and they are still outta school. He isn't having a party this year, I guess he outgrew that at the age of 16?! So he's getting a cake, a dvd and some cash! Easy enough for me.

Dave & I are still on Atkins so we won't be participating in said cake, much to my dismay :( I am still sitting at about the same loss as last Friday, about 6 lbs. Ready to see that scale go down some more...

I guess that's going to be it for today's post...not much going on right now. Oh other than the fact that today is officially EIGHT months till my WEDDING day! WOW!
